Brinkman Entertainment was formed with the mission of negotiating for deserving artists to find quality work and creating an easy and thorough music booking experience for the client.

 Jimmy Brinkman - Owner

With over 15 years as a professional freelance trombonist, Jimmy has played in a variety of bands ranging from New Orleans Brass Bands, Wedding Bands, Swing Orchestras, Club Bands, Festival Bands, Marching Bands, Mardi Gras Bands and even Polka Bands.  Originally from Old Mandeville, his experience has led him into creating relationships with many different artists and venues around New Orleans and Northshore areas.

Jimmy has also taught as assistant band director, under the direction of Andrew Moran, for 8 years at St. Paul's School in Covington (2009-2017).  While at St. Paul's School, Jimmy ran the Jazz Band program and arranged all music and marching drill for the famous Marching Wolves.  Software used was Finale Music Notation and Pyware 3D.  To this day, he continues to arrange music and marching drill as well as teaching the low brass section during band camp for St. Paul's School.

In June of 2017, Jimmy worked a different career path as a Financial Representative at Northwestern Mutual.  During his time at Northwestern Mutual, he learned new skills in Sales, Budgeting, Networking, Time Management, Client Relationship Management, Cold Calling,  and Negotiations.

Jimmy stepped out of the financial services industry in 2019 and decided to start Brinkman Entertainment.  Brinkman Entertainment is all about hiring local artists and thorough consultation for potential clients.  He is here to serve and use his experience to bring people together.  From small backyard crawfish boils to large corporate events or Weddings to Non-profits, Jimmy is willing to give honest input and try to point individuals in the right direction to create their amazing experience.
